We just got home from our 12th wedding anniversary, and spent it on the Cranberry Road Access Beach in Long Beach Peninsula, WA in a wonderful little cabin. Not a huge amount of operating time but enough to work 13 CW stations, and of course Anne N7ANN on 2m FM as well. My "Best DX" was R23RRC, Ptichiy Island, Russia - who was working both a DXPedition as well as an IOTA activation of Ptichiy - pretty cool! Because it was the Hawaii QSO Party weekend I got THREE stations in Hawaii, plus nine in the Kansas QSO party. Rig was Elecraft KX1 running exactly 3 watts to a homebrew full-length 20m vertical put up on the beach in the backyard. All QSOs were on CW except for one, with Anne N7ANN on 2m FM at 146.52 Photo below is of the front of the cabin at sunset. VERY fun weekend - and my biggest number of BOTA contacts in one session. I really tried to upload a photo but get nothing but errors.... "An unknown error has occurred - the file in the Image field was unable to be uploaded" - despite me being able to do this many times in the past.... bummer. File size was 93K !!! TINY! and JPEG format... weird. Sorry - I had a nice photo Dave W7UUU
