I had fun making contacts and drinking with a friend who was curious about HAM and helped me with the antenna. Although the tide swept the radials of vertical and VDA was submerged into seawater, I have good old EFHW that works well enough when the condition is open. I learned what to do and not to do, so I will try again with a simpler QRP rig next time.
