Mon Repos by VK4KC

This was my first activation of this beach. I didn’t have much luck with only 4 contacts but one of those was my good friend Val Hanney KN7D. I will return to increase my QSO count to 44 for the WWFF program. Mon Repos is home to the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the Eastern Australian mainland and has the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific region. A section of Mon Repos Beach is in the Mon Repos conservation Park (VVFF-1595, POTA VK-1217). Contacts: KN7D, VK2IO, VK3PF, zl1wn. (The callsigns in capitals have confirmed my activation)
