Beaches On The Air is a global award scheme for radio amateurs that encourages portable operation from beaches. There are various rolls of honour and awards for activators and chasers.

We have added beaches for the Australian regions of western Australia and New South Wales (http://www.beachesontheair.com/dxcc-entities/australia). We are looking forward to the activations of our colleagues from that country.

Romania joins Beaches On The Air with a new list of beaches. There are a total of 38 beaches in two regions. We are all looking forward to the participation of our Romanian colleagues.

We have added the beaches in Martinique, Reunion, Mayotte, Guadaloupe and French Guiana. We have als added lists of beaches in Azores and Madeira. Finally, we have also added more than 900 beach references in Chile.

We have just added 2600 new beach references in four DXCC entities: Spain, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, and Ceuta and Melilla. This way, Spain becomes the second largest country in number of references, after the United States.

We have just added a list of beaches for the Republic of Macedonia (http://www.beachesontheair.com/beaches?title=&field_code_value=z3). Thanks to Z35M and his team for the hard work. We are looking forward to their activations!

We have just added a total of 611 beaches in the UK. They are divided in five regions in England, and one each for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We are looking forward to the participation of our British colleagues.

Good news for our frends from the Pacific! We have just uploaded the list of beaches for California. A total of 414 beaches. Now we need activations!

The beaches added are the ones with a Blue Flag label as a recognition for their environmental quality.
