How to use the site

Adding your activation intentions

1. Sign in to beachesontheair.com
2. Under USER MENU choose ADD ACTIVATION
3. In the CREATE ACIVATION “BEACH” box, clear the info in the box then type the Beach Name
   1. Wait for a few seconds for the list of options to choose from
4. Choose the correct Beach Name/Number for your Activation
5. Choose the correct DAY MONTH AND YEAR in the DATE section
   1. Click ALL DAY if you are going to be Activating all day
6. Leave the NUMBER OF QSO’s BLANK until you finish activating
7. Click the QRP box if you are going to be QRP
8. Add you Callsign in the CALLSIGN box
9. Add any remarks in the REMARKS box
   1. I sometimes add the times and frequencies or bands I will be using in this section. You do not need to put anything here if you don’t want to.
10. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click SAVE (don’t forget this step or it will not save your Activation!!

Adding your activation QSO’s

1. Sign in to beachesontheair.com
2. Under USER MENU choose MY ACCOUNT
3. Choose ACTIVATIONS (Under your Callsign on the top of the page)
4. Choose VIEW on the right top side of the page under Activation for your current Activation
   1. Your Beach Name and Number should appear (example) (Blank Blank Island (1234) by KK1TLS)
5. Click Edit
   1. Edit Activation Blank Blank Island (1234) by KKTLS appears with the correct date,etc
6. Scroll down until you see the NUMBER OF QSO’s BOX and ENTER THE NUMBER OF QSO’s MADE AT THIS ACTIVATION.
7. Scroll down to the bottom and click SAVE
8. This completes the BOTA WEB FORM ACTIVATION PROCESS
   1. EXCEPT YOUR CHASERS. SEE BELOW FOR CHASER INSTRUCTIONS.

Chaser instructions for adding a QSO

1. Sign in to beachesontheair.com
2. Under USER MENU choose ADD CHASER QSO
   1. Instructions are below MY QSOs AS A CHASER
3. Under ACTIVATIONS CONFIRMED Click in the box and add THE ACTIVATOR’s CALLSIGN and wait until you are shown a list of available options to select from. SCROLL DOWN to see the search results.
4. Click on the ACTIVATION you made a QSO with that person.
5. Click SUBMIT
6. You are finished!
