About me:
I was licensed in 1989, but introduced to ham radio in 1971 (7 years old) by my grandfather. I have his initial callsign issued to him in 1933. I enjoy many aspects of RF through my employment as a 911 Dispatcher, Emergency Management Director and Fire Police affiliations with my town. My mobile is set up for VHF and UHF communications; FM, DStar and DMR. My HF operations is all SSB. In the shack I run 100 watts into a dipole, 10-80 meters. Many times I will run QRP with my KX3 using this antenna for fun and rainy days. Over the last 6 months I have built a Go-Box for field radio fun that supports 100 watts and various antennas QRO or QRP for sitting in the back, our local beaches and other field locations. I am the President of the our local ham radio club (W1BCG / Shoreline ARC).
