Hello all my name is Vanja Culjak, and my call sign is VA3XLJ. My fascination with ham radio began in my preteens when a friend and I attempted to build a CB radio from a kit. As a ham radio operator, I enjoy the thrill of making contact with someone miles away using just my radio, proving that "the world is just a radio wave away." Over the time, I have been committed to improve my skills, fostering camaraderie, and building lifelong friendships within the ham radio community. I know there's still a long way to go and plenty of room for improvement, but my passion for the hobby extends beyond communication. I do take great pleasure in building kits, crafting antennas, and discussing projects under the supportive guidance of fellow local radio enthusiasts. The local hamster community has been fantastic, providing enough encouragement, guidance and advice for me to successfully complete QDX. With QDX working (yes it could work bit better), I was able to explore various digital modes on the HF band. I aim to share the little knowledge and experience I've gained so far with others, helping fellow hobbyists evade the pitfalls I encountered during my projects. Besides making contacts and talking to other ham radio operators, my desire is to contribute to the community and inspire those around me.
