My name is Zisis Kousaxidis, amateur radio operator SV2SIH, based in Lagkadas, Thessaloniki, Greece. I enjoy operating on HF, VHF/UHF and digital modes like DMR and FT8. I’m active in SOTA, portable activations, and love experimenting with antennas like Buddipole and end-fed wires. I use gear such as the Yaesu FT-817 and MMDVM hotspots, often operating both from home and in the field. As a former special forces soldier and Taekwondo athlete, I value discipline, teamwork and service — principles that also guide me in radio. I was a volunteer with the Hellenic Rescue Team and joined missions, including the Haiti earthquake in 2010.
